Homecoming 2011 Preparations

July 4th, 2011

Hello Fellow Spartans

If you’ve been wondering what’s going on with plans for MSUBA’s 2011 Homecoming weekend, the University threw everyone a curve ball when it was announced that the Saturday football game would be played at NIGHT starting at 8:00 pm, I think.   This meant most of the plans had to be reworked not only for MSUBA, but for Kappas, Ques and Deltas who are celebrating milestone anniversaries for their chapter - something like 50 years or so!!!

Please know that all of the committees (MSUBA and the Greeks) are working feverishly to pull it altogether very soon so that they will be able to announce the CORRECT information and packages for you to select from.  Therefore, when you go to the www.MSUBA.org website, know that the information listed there is incorrect.

For all of you who are in Michigan - Metro Detroit area, you need to go to www.msuba-det.org website and join our Detroit Chapter.  It’s only $10.00 for adults, and $7.00 for students.  Also give them your email address so that you can stay connected to what’s going on in Southeast Michigan relevant to MSU, MSUBA, the city of Detroit and surrounding suburbs, and the black population as a whole.  We need to get connected and stay connected with each other now more than ever.

And for those of you living elsewhere, go to www.msuba.org , click on the chapter or focus area listed closest to you, and do the same thing.  We all need each other right now.

Please pass this information on to others.  Thanks.  See you in October.

You Can Go Back Home

August 28th, 2010

MSU is a place that becomes a part of the DNA of everyone who was a student there.  The MSU Black Alumuni Association (MSUBA) is that comfortable place where everyone knows your name.  If you haven’t thought about MSU recently, make 2010 the year you connect with MSU and the MSUBA.

With the end of summer it’s time to think about Homecoming 2010.  As our 30 year tradition dictates, the MSU Black Alumni Association will provide a memorable weekend of activities.  Don’t miss it.  To make sure you are kept abreast of the plans, please go to the Contact page of this website and join the mailing list.  As plans are finalized, you will be notified.
